Abstract

This article examines a series of filters imposed on individuals seeking justice before the Supreme Courts (The
Plurinational Constitutional Court is its equivalent in Bolivia) in their actions for freedom and protection. The
methodology consists of a comparative analysis between the Bolivian legal system and the United States writ of
certiorari, exploring how it has been understood by legal doctrine as a means of filtering the most significant cases for
society and the law. The article highlights the discovery of potential arbitrary actions that could limit access to Bolivian
constitutional justice.
